Director's Welcome

I am pleased to be able to introduce our school to you. Much has been achieved since Yayasan Ciputra Pendidikan founded the school in 1996. Today Sekolah Ciputra is an international school and one of the most highly regarded IB World Schools in Indonesia. We believe that our International IB students are truly global citizens.

At Sekolah Ciputra our Motto is Non-Scholae Sed Vitae Discimus : We learn not for school but for life.

We place our emphasis on holistic education. The curriculum is broad and balanced with programs that support the growth of the developing child, encompassing academic, ethical, social, physical, emotional and cultural needs. Students are guided to become independent learners and well rounded individuals who have the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to prepare them for life in the 21^st century.  The school’s programmes support students to be compassionate citizens who are respectful and accepting of cultural diversity while retaining and valuing their own culture and language.

The school is in a continual ferment of activity and improvement. By the end of the current school year, every classroom at Sekolah Ciputra will have a Smartboard and every teacher at the school will have completed training to ensure their effective use. The new Performing Arts Centre, capable of seating over 630 and using state of the art technology, will be completed or near completion.

The year will have seen teams of our students going to Oxford in England to compete in an International Debating event. Our students who recently won a local Art competition will have experienced their prize: a two week homestay in Perth, Australia.

By the end of the first semester, our special programme for Gifted Children, established with assistance from the University of Surabaya, will be up and running. And there will be much more. Stay tuned to the News section on our front page for more about what is happening at Sekolah Ciputra.
